SAMUEL LOPEZ

Is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and American Council on Exercise (ACE)–certified coach whose career in fitness and human performance spans more than three decades in New York City. His foundation in biomechanics and kinesiology has helped bridge the gap between science and application. As a former competitive boxer, dancer, and weightlifter, he has combined academic rigor with real-world athletic experience. For three and a half years, Samuel has worked closely with Parkinson’s patients from Mount Sinai Hospital in collaboration with the 92nd Street Y. Drawing on his expertise in boxing, he has developed and implemented a program aimed at improving strength, balance, coordination, power, and overall functional performance. Beyond physical gains, his work emphasizes restoring confidence, resilience, and a positive relationship with daily life. As well as demonstrating the transformative power of movement to this neurodegenerative population. The idea that through physical repetition these individuals have improved on creating different neuromuscular pathways to help enhance current movement is incredibly rewarding.
